Etymology: In reference to
Kalasin Province, where the Phu Noi site is located, Thailand + Emys.
Species: prasarttongosthi TONG, NAKSRI, BUFFETAUT, SUTEETHORN, SUTEETHORN, CHANTASIT & CLAUDE, 2028
Etymology: In honor of Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth who supports palaeontological research and eductiation in Thailand.
Holotype: KS34-190
Locality: Phu Ni locality, Ban Dinji, Kham Muang Distrct, Kalasin Province, NE Thailand.
Horizon: Lower part of the Phu Kradung Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Late Jurassic.
Material: Skull and a shell wiht articulated carapace and plastron.
Referred material:
KS34-1278: A nearly complete plastron, lacking epiplastra.
