Genus: Foxemys TONG, GAFFNEY & BUFFETAUT, 1998
Etymology: From the name of the locality, Fox Amphoux in Southern France, and Greek, emys, "turtle."

Etymology: In honor of the discoverers of the material, Patrick and Annie Mechin.

Holotype: MD t 10

Locality: Fox Amphoux, Province Var, Southern France.

Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A doroventrally crushed skull with right half of carapace and complete plastron. The skull was found inside the shell.

Hypodigm.

PAM 511A: An almost complete skull.

PAM 511B: An incomplete lower jaw.

PAM 548: An almost complete and well-preserved shell in which the plastron I complete and only the posterior part of the carapace is missing (lacking right 6th to 8th costal and part of 7th and 8th left costal bones, 8th to 11th right peripheral and 11th left peripheral bones, suprapygal and pygal bones).

MD t 09: A partial shell consisting of the anterior third of the carapace in poor condition and complete plasteron.

MD t 11: 1 right scapulaprecoarcoid.

Etymology: In honor of the cultic East German (former German Democratic Republic) automobile Trabant 601, which is intensely used by the Iharkut research group and serves as an indispensable field car and transporter vehicle during the excavations.

Holotype: MTM V2010.86.1

Locality: Nemetbanya II bauxite lens, Iharkut, Bakony Mountains, Hungary.

Horizon: Csehbanya Formation, Gosau Group.
