Biostratigraphy: Lystrosaurus Assemblage zone (Lystrosaurus-Thrinaxodon zone, KEYSER, 1979, SACS, 1980, Procolophon zone, Lystrosaurus zone, WATSON, 1914, BROOM, 1906).

Age: Early Scythian Epoch, Early Triassic.

Material: Skull dentary and fragmentary skeleton.

BP/1/3973: Partial skull and relatively complete articulated skeleton, lacking the right manus, left pes, left femur, left ilium, part of the left tibia, the right tibia and fibula.

Note: Orignally assigned to Ictidosuchops (Kitching, 1977), then Regisaurus jacobi (Fourie, & Rubidge, 2007).
