Etymology: In honor of the Russian paleontologist S. S. Kutorga, who was the
first to describe East European thermorphs.
Holotype: PIN 2793/6
Locality: Novo-Nikolskoe-3, right bank of Malyi Uran River, 2 km downstream of Novo-Nikolskoe village, Samara drainage basin, Aleksandrovskii District, Orenburg Region, European Russia.
Horizon: Biarmian Series, Urzhumian Stage, Urzhumian Horizon (Bolshekinelskaya Svita, Uzhumian Gorizont).
Biostratigraphy: Isheevo Faunal Assemblage, Isheevo Faunal Subassemblage.
Age: Urzhumian Stage, Early Tatarian age, Guadelupian Stage, Middle Zeichstein Epoch, Late Middle Permian.
