Etymology: Latin, gracilis, "slender."

Locality: ~ 1 km east of Njalila River, Njalila, Ruhuhu Basin, Tanganyika, East Africa.

Horizon: Manda Formation.

Material: Right partial maxilla.

NMT RB28: Nearly complete and articualted skull, wiht articulated osteoderms dorsal to the articulated presacral vertebrae adn fragmentary postcrania.

Material:

NMT RB526: Disarticulated, but nearly comlpete skeleton comprising much of the skull, partial axial column with most of the presacral vertebral column, both sacral vertebrae, caudal vertebrae from throughout the series, rib fragments, paramedian osteoderms, pectoral and pelvic girdles, much of the fore- and hind-limbs, and associated fragments.

NMT RB460: Small disarticulated braincase consiting of the left and right prootics, basioccipital, and parabasisphenoid.
