Genus: Calamosuchus SUES & SCHOCH, 2025
Etymology: Latin, calamus, "reed" and Greek, suchus, name for the ancient Egyptina crocodile-headed diety Sobk or Sebek, commonly used for name of reptilian genera. The word calamus alludes to the fossil coming from a formation traditionally known as Schilfsandstein ("reed sandstone").

Age: Carnian Stage, Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: Fragment of a mandible.
