Etymology: In honor of George Hovanec who generously donated funds to facilitate the CT scanning of Linton Fossils.

Holotype: CM 93778

Locality: Coal mine operated originally by the Ohio Diamond Coal Company at Linton in Saline Townshipe, Jefferson County, Ohio.

Horizon: Local cannel coal immediately below the Upper Freeport Coal, Allegheny Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Moscovian Epoch, Middle Pennsylvian Sub-Period, Late Carboniferous Period.

Material: A natural mould of cranial remains comprising a partial right mandibular ramus, a right pterygoid, the posterior part of a right maxilla, and the right jugal
