Etymology: Lantinized version of the name of the Mongol tyrant Genghis Kahn.

Etymology:

Holotype: PIN 551-1

Locality: Nemegt basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Nemegt Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, jaws lacking end of snout, posterior portion of cranial region, last cervicals? and first 4 dorsal vertebrae.
Note: Pathology, toothstrike trauma on the external, ventral surface of the right jugal (TANKE & CURRIE, (1998) 2000)
