Genus: Pabwehshi WILSON, MALKANI & GINGERICH, 2001
Etymology: Pab, name of the formation in which the crocodyliform was found and wehsin, Urdu word for beast.

Species: pakistanensis WILSON, MALKANI & GINGERICH, 2001
Etymology: In reference to the country where the specimen was found, Pakistan.

Holotype: Geological Survey of Pakistan, Quetta, GSP-UM 2000

Locality: Vitakri locality 16, Dhaola Range, near the village of Vitakri, eastern Balochistan Province, Pakistan.

Horizon: Pab Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An isolated rostrum bearing complete premaxillae and portions of the maxillae, nasals, vomer, dentaries, and right splenial.
