Etymology: Neuquen in reference to the Neuquen City, Neuquen Province, Aregentina and Greek, souchus, 'crocodile'.

Etymology: In reference to the universitary campus, where the materials were collected.

Holotype: MUCPv-47

Locality: On the campus of Universidad Nacional del Comahue (National University of Comahue), North of Neuquen City, Neuquen Province, Aregentina.

Horizon: Bajo de la Carpa Formation, Rio Colorado Subgroup, Neuquen Group.


Age: Santonian Stage, Senoniain Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: 6 cervical, first 4 dorsal, 2 sacral, and first 5 caudal vertebrae, posterior cervical ribs and anterior dorsal ribs, fragmentary right scapula, humerus, right pubis, fragment of right ischium, femur, tibia and right fibula and fragment of left ilium.
