Aonikenk language, kosten, "Patagonian wind", and latinized from the Greek, souchos, "crocodile" in reference to the Egyptian crocodile-headed god (Sebek).

Locality: "Puma cve" (locality 4, 5), Estancia La Anita, approxomately 30 km SW from El Calafate city, Santa Cruz PRovince, Southern Patagonia, Argentina.
Horizon: Chorrillo Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Late Senonian Subepoch, Late Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Skull, jaws, cervical, axial skeleton remains including cervical, dorsal, and sacrals, rows of osteoderms along the vertebral sequence, cervical and dorsal ribs, scapular and pelvic girdles, complete right humerus and partial left humerus, and fragmentary remains of the hind limbs.
