Etymology: Greek, thereuo, “hunt, pursue” and Greek, odon, “tooth”: Hunted tooth.

Age: Early Cretaceous.

Etymology: Greek, pertubrator; allusion to the doubts that this species raises as to the pertinence of the genus to the order Symmetrodonta, as well as to the trouble in the Tethyan waters caused by this island hopper.

Locality: Sunnydown Farm Quarry near Langton Matravers, NGR SY 9822 7880, Swanage, Dorset County, England, Southern United Kingdom.

Horizon: Cherry Freshwater Member, Purbeck Limestone Formation.
