Genus: Paulchoffatia KUHNE, 1961
Etymology: In honor of Paul Choffat (1849-1919), Swiss geologist and Paleontologist, who did major work with the Geological Service of Portugal (from 1885 on).

Holotype: PIFU V J. 1-155a, b

Locality: Guimarota lignite mine (Mina de Lignito Guimarota), 1.5 km SSE of Leiria, Leiria District, Portugal.



Age: Lustianien, Kimmeridgian Stage, Middle Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: Left mandible.
