Genus: Meketichoffatia HAHN, 1993
Etymology: Greek, “no more” + -choffatia, to express that this taxon was grouped formerly with Paulchoffatia.

Species: krausei HAHN, 1993
Etymology: In honour of Prof. D. D. W. Kruse, Suny-Stony Brook, for his contributions to our knowledge of multituberculates.

Holotype: PIFU V J. V. J. 110-115

Locality: Guimarota lignite mine (Mina de Lignito Guimarota), 1.5 km SSE of Leiria, Leiria District, Portugal.
