Etymology: Inuit, Kalaallit, "Greenland" and Inuit, kigun, "tooth."; Greenlandic tooth.

Species: jenkinsi SULEJ, KRZESINSKI, TALANDA, WOLNIEWICZ, BALZEJOWSKI, BONDE, GOUTOWSKI, SIENKIEWICZ & NIEDZWIEDZKI, 2021
Etymology: In honor of Farish A. Jenkins, Jr., former professor at harvard University who devoted his illustrious career to studies o fMesozoic mammals, funciotnal anatomy fo tetrapods, adn who discovered the first fossils of mammaliaforms in the Late Triassic of Greenland.

Holotype: KNK 4152 = NHMD 231331

Locality: Liasryggen site, N71°18'26.0", W22°31'22.5", left bank of the Carlsberg Fjord, Jameson Land, East Greenland.

Horizon: Carlsberg Fjord breds, lowr part of the Ørsted Dal Member, Fleming Fjord Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle and Late Norian Stage, Late Triassic Stage, Late Triassic.

Material: An incomplete left dentary with 2 teeth (premolariform pm1 and malariform m2).
