Etymology: Sinensis, of China. The binomial referes to "Jurassic mother from China'.

Holotype: BMNH (Beijing Museum of Natural History) PM1143

Locality: Daxigou site, Jianchang County, Laioning Province, China.

Horizon: Tiaojishan Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle-Late Jurassic.

Material: Skull and front half of skeleton.
