Etymology: Latin, camurus, "curved or bent", describing the distinctive premolar shape, and Greek, odon, “tooth”, used widley in multituberculate taxonomy.

Species: borealis SHELLEY, EBERLE, ERICKSON & DRUCKENMILLER, 2025
Etymology: Latin, borealis, "northern", tying it to its Arctic range. "Northern curved-tooth".

Holotype: DMNH 21350

Locality: Pediomys Point, Colville River, North Slope, Northern Alaska.
