Genus: Asioryctes KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA, 1975
Etymology: In reference to Asia, and Greek, oryktes, “digger”: Asian digger; alludes to the similarity to the Paleocene paleoryctid, Palaeoryctes.

Species: nemegtensis KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA, 1975
Etymology: Referes to the locality of Nemegt, where the holotype was found.

ZPal MgM-I/98: Skull cervical vertebrae, first thoracic vertebra, fragmentary right fore limb, radius and ulna both without proximal ends, nearly complete carpus without pisiform, 5 metacarpals without distal ends and incomplete right hind limb, tibia and fibula without proximal ends, calcaneus, astragalus and cuboideaum somewhat displaced, distal part consists of 3 cuneiforms, fragment of the distal end of the navicular, 5 metatarsals, first phalanges of the first, second and third digits, and damaged second phalanx of the first digit of a juvenile.
