Etymology: "scansorius," in reference to the scansorial or climbing adapatation.

Locality: Daohugo Site, N41°18,979, E119°14.318', Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.

Horizon: Tiaojishan Fromation (also known as the Jiulongshan Formation).
