Etymology: In reference to Cuenca province, Spain, where the specimen was found, and Greek, sauros, "lizard."

Etymology: In honor of Richard Estes.

Holotype: IPFUB Una L. 141

Locality: Braunkhole mine, south west of the village of Una, Cuenca Province, East Spain.

Horizon: Wealden.

Biostratigraphy: Atopochara trivolvis triqueta zone.

Age: Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Fragment of dentary with 5 teeth.
