Etymology:

Locality: Dingy (Xingyi), Guizhou Province, China.
Or Langmu, Tachai Village, Tingshiao, Shingyi Hsien, SW Keichow Province, China.

Horizon: Zhuganpo Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Carnian Stage, Lower Late Triassic Epoch, Early Late Triassic.
Note: Originally thought to belong to the Guanlin Formation, Ansian as per RIEPPEL, 2000.
