Etymology:

Holotype: PIN 4200/1 (was SGU 1599/1)

Locality: Panik creek (Prokayevka), right bank of the Buzuluk River, 5.2 km south of Prokaevkavillage, Buzulukskij district, Orenburg region, southeastern European Russia.

Horizon: Staritskaya Svita, Rybinskian Groizont, Middle Vetlugian Supergorizont (Kyzylsay Formation, Rybinskian Horizon, Vetluga Series).

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle Buntsandstein, Lowermost Olenekian Stage, upper Scythian Epoch, Early Triassic.

Material: Fragmentary right side of skull.

Referred material:

SU 1559-1: A parasphenoid articulated with the right pterygoid bone.
