Genus: Procuhy CISNEROS, MARSICANO, ANGIELCZYK, SMITH, RICHTER, FROBISCH, KAMMERER, & SADLEIR, 2015
Etymology: Local Tibira language (Macro-Je group), Prochy, prot, "frog" and cuhy, "fire"; referring to the Pedra de Fogo Formation ('Rock of Fire' in Portuguese, after the presence of flint).

Species:  nazariensis CISNEROS, MARSICANO, ANGIELCZYK, SMITH, RICHTER, FROBISCH, KAMMERER, & SADLEIR, 2015
Etymology: In reerence to the Nazaria Municipality, Piaui State, Brazil, where the holotype was discovered.

Locality: Locality PB131, Nazaria Municipality, Parnaiba Basin, Piaui State, Brazil.

Horizon: Lower Pedra de Fogo Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Cisuralian (same as Rotliegendes Epoch) Epoch, Lower Permian.

Material: Partial skull and left mandibular ramus.
