Etymology: In reference to the Chickasha Formation.

Holotype: FMNH UR 1004

Locality: BC-7, SW 1/4, NW 1/4, sec. 34, NE 1/4, Sec. 33, S 1/2, sec. 28, T18N, R11W, Blaine County, Oklahoma.

Horizon: Chickasha Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Guadalupian Stage, Lower Zechstein Epoch, Early Late Permian.

Material: Brain case with part of basicraium, basipterygoid processes, and part of otic complex.

Referred material:

FMNH UR 1003: Fragments of skull, including part of the marginal tooth row, a small part of the palate, including the socket and impression of a large palatal tooth, and various species of skull roof.
