Etymology: In reference to Purbeck strs, where the tracks were found, England, and Greek, pus, "foot."

Ichnospecies: pentadactylus DELAIR, 1963
Etymology: Greek, penta, “five” and Greek, daktylos, ‘finger’.

Holotype: DORCM G.6664

Locality: A quarry on the south side of the Langton/Kingston road opposite a lane leading to Old Court Pound, Acton region of Langton Parish, Dorset County, England, Southern United Kingdom.

Horizon: “Pink Bed” of the “Roach” layer of the middle Purbeck.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Cretaceous.

Material: 2 pentadactyle prints.
