Ichnogenus: Gigantoshiraminesauropus AZUMA & TAKEYAMA, 1991 (nomen dubium)
Etymology: Greek, giganto, "giant" + Shiraminesauropus; Named after big Shiraminesauropus.

Ichnospecies: matsuoi AZUMA & TAKEYAMA, 1991  (nomen dubium)
Etymology: Named in honor of Hidekuni Matsuo, Professor Emeritus of Ehime University, who studied the Tetori Flora for a long time and supported our research during the last few years.

Holotype: OSBEV002

Locality: Roadside cliff called the “Fossil Wall” of Kuwajima in Shiramine Village, Lat. 36°12’N, 136°38’E, Ishikawa Prefecture, Honshu Island, Central Japan.

Horizon: Kuwajiam Formation, Itoshiro Subgroup, Tetori Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Berriasian Stage, Lower Neocomian Subepoch-Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: A single natural cast.
