Etymology: From the city of Golden, Colorado, within whose city limits the majority of the specimens of the ichnotaxa are found.

Locality: Parfet Clay Pit exposures east of 6th Avenue and south of 19th Street, northwest of Denver, Colorado.

Horizon: Laramie Formation.
