Etymology: Greek, harpy Aello, a hybrid in Greek mythology wiht the body of a bird and the head of a woman; Greek, Aello, 'storm wind' and Greek, batis, 'ray or skate.'

Species: bavarica TÜRTSCHER, JAMBURA, VILLALOBOS-SEGURA, LOPEZ-ROMERO, UNDERWOOD, THIES, LAUER, & KRIWET, 2024
Etymology: In reverence to bavarica, Latin and means 'Bavarian.'

Holotype: SNSB-BSPG AS I 1377

Locality: Kelheim, Baveria State, Germany.

Horizon: Solnhofen, Lithographic shales.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Tithonian Stage, Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: Nearly complete specimen.
