Etymology:

Species: lundarensis (HANKE, STEWART & LAMMERS, 1996) JOBBINS,MOYSIUK, DURKIN, & BRINK, 2025
Etymology: In reference to Lundar, Manitoba, the closets town to the Lily Bay Quarry.

Holotype: MMMN V2285

Locality: 2.5 m above the quarry floor, halfway along the northern wall of the Lily Bay (East) Quarry, 50°46’N, 98°45’W, approximately 15 km northeast of the town of Lundar, Manitoba, Canada.

Horizon: Elm Point Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Eifelian Stage, Early Mid Devonian Epoch, Middle Devonian.

Material: An almost complete, articualted cranial roof.

Paratype:

MMMN V2274: Internal mold of the cranial roof of a smaller invidiual than the holotype.

Referred material:

MMMN V2292: Right suborbital.

MMMN V2282: An internal bold of hte most dorsal portion of a median dorsal, with part of the ventral keel remaining.

MMMN V2287: A slightly distorted, isolated cranial porcess which was found abmon the float on the quarry floor.

MMMN V2286: The posterior corner of a right paranuchal, with th elateral articular fossa was found as float on the quarry floor.

MMMN V2273: A badly fractured and distorted median dorsal showing the fractured edge on the ventral keel.
Note: Found about 1.5 m above the quarry floor in the Lily Bay (East) Quarry.

 

Locality: Faulkner Quarry at Steep Rock, 51°26’N, 98°47’W, at the town of Steep Rock, Manitoba, Canada.

Horizon: Elm Point Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Eifelian Stage, Early Mid Devonian Epoch, Middle Devonian.

Material:

MMMN V2304: A large nuchal plate with a mold fo the dorsal surface including the anterior suture with central plates.
