Genus: Cuanyu WEN, ZHU, XUE, LI & ZHU, 2026
Etymology: Chinese, cuan, the name of two famous ancient steles, which has been cultural card of Qujing, and Chines, yu, "fish".

Species: liui WEN, ZHU, XUE, LI & ZHU, 2026
Etymology: In honor of Liu Yuhai, in honor of hsi pioneering work on the arthodires in Qujing.

Holotype: IVPP V33795a, b (part and counterpart)

Locality: Xitun Village, Qilin District, Qujing, Yunnan Province, southwestern China.

Horizon: Xitun Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age:Upper Lockhovian Stage, Lowermost Devonian Epoch, Lower Early Devonian.

Material: Almost complete skull roof and the external mold.
