Genus: Rinconodus PANZERI, GOUIRIC CAVALLI, CIONE & FILIPPI, 2022
Etymology: In reference to Rincon de los Sauces, near the beraing outcropping beds.

Species: slavadori PANZERI, GOUIRIC CAVALLI, CIONE & FILIPPI, 2022
Etymology: In honor of the MAU technician Salvador Palomo, who found the specimens.

Holotype: MAU-PV-LI-613

Locality: La Invernada locality, 37°34'57.1S", 69°19'16.2W", Neuquen Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Bajo de la Carpa Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Santonian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An incompelte head which preserves several bones of the skull roof, palate, and jaw bones with thier upper and lower tooth plates.

Paratypes:

MAU-PV-LI-612: Anincomplete head preseving bones of the skull roof, palate, upper tooth plates, and a fragmetn of lower tooth plate.

MAU-PV-LI-637, -638, 639: Fragmentary upper tooth plates.

MAU-PV-LI-630: An incomlete vertebral column , section of the cuadal region, with scales and fin rays.
