Etymology:
Species: orientalis OTA, NISHIMURA, KOBAYASHI & MORIKI, 2025
Etymology: Latin, orientalis, "eastern" in reference to the speicmen found in Japan.
Holotype: HMG-2013
Locality: Pankerusano-sawa Creek, Tomiuchi District, Hobetsu area, Mukawa Town, Hokkaido Island, northern Japan.
Horizon: Hakobuchi Formation, Yezo Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Late Cretaceous.
Material: A nearly complete left palatine tooth plate.
