Genus: Sutekhsuchus BURKE, NICHOLL, PITTARD, SALLAM & MANNION, 2024
Etymology: Sutekh, ancient Egyptian god sometimes reerred to as the 'god of decpetion', due to teh species orignally being wrongly assigned to the genus Tomistoma, and Latin, suchus, in reference to the crododile god Sobek.
