Etymology: In honor of Ernst Freiherr Stromer von Reichenbach and Greek, souchos, "crocodile."

Species: aegyptiacus KUHN, 1936 (nomen dubium)
Etymology: In reference to Egypt, where the specimen was discovered.
= Aegyptosuchus peyeri STROMER, 1936 (partium)

Locality: Western Egypt, North Africa.

Horizon: Baharija beds.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Mid-caudal vertebra.
