Genus: Pseudogavialis COURVILLE, METAIS, ANTOINE, MARIVAUX & JOUVE, 2025
Etymology: Pseudogavialis, meaning that the genus si almost Gavialis, resembles Gavialis, but is not Gavialis and Gavialis is a corrupted derivation from the Hindi word ghariyal which is Hindi for "crocodile".
