Etymology: Greek for dwarf and Enant for opposite in reference to the subclass Enantiornithes.

Etymology: In honor of Vladimir A. Alifanov, research scientist of PIN, who found the specimen.

Holotype: PIN 4492-1

Locality: Northern slope of Hermiin Tsav (Khermeen Tsav), locality, 30 km west of Naran Bulak Wellspring, Trans-Altai Gobi Desert, western Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation.

Age: Middle –Late Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous..

Material: Some skull bones, and fragmentary skeleton and eggshells.
