Etymology: Latin, exilis, “thin”: in reference to the eggshell thickness.

Holotype: RTMP 94.157.62

Locality: Little Diablo’s Hill, Devil’s Coulee, Warner County, Southern Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Oldman Formation, middle Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Single eggshell fragment.
