Etymology: Referes to the theropod dinosaur found in the Chinese administrative unit Xixia County of Henan Province.

Species: henanensis LU, XU, LIU, ZHANG, JIA, & JI, 2010
Etymology: Referes to Henan Province, in which the holotype site in Xixia County was found.

Holotype: HGM 41HIII-0201

Locality: Songgou Village, Zhangying of Wuliqiao Touwn, northeast region of Xixia County, Henan Province, China.

Horizon: Mid-lower part of teh Majiacun Formaiton.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Coniacian Stage, Lower Senonian Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch,-Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Partial skull, anterior portion of the lower jaw, central portions of the ulna and radius, a partial right manus with a complete first digit.
