Etymology: In honor of Varavudh Suteethorn, of the Department of Mineral Resources Bangkok.

Locality: Phu Wiang site 1A ('Phu Pratu Teema' or PW1), Pratu Teema Hill, Amphoe Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province, northeastern Thailand.

Horizon: Sao Khua Formation, Khorat Group.
