Etymology: In reference to Changzhou (a city in Jiangsu Province, China), and Latinized Greek, saurus, "lizard". Changzhou lizard.
Species: sinensis XU, 2026
Etymology:
The genus name is to thank Changzhou Municipal Goverment for supporting dinosaur palaeontology and promoting popular science. The specific epithet is to highlight the birthpalce of this amazing dinosaur (China).
Holotype: LDNHMF 2026A, 2026B
Locality: Lamadong, Jianchung County, western Liaoning Province, China.
Horizon: Jiufotang Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Aptian Stage, Gallic Subepoch Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: Skull and skeleton.
