Etymology: The specific name refers to Lufeng County, the classic dinosaur locality in Yunnan Province.

Holotype: LT9401

Locality: Zhongcun Town, Lufeng County, Chuxiong Region, Yunnan Province, China.

Horizon: Lower Lufeng Formation.

Material: Nearly complete skull and lower jaw.
