Etymology: Campylodon and -iscus diminutive ending: “Little Campylodon”.

Etymology: Greek, kampylos “bent, crooked”, and Greek, odon, "tooth": “Bent tooth”.

Etymology: In honor of Ameghino.

Holotype: MACN A-IOR63

Locality: Serra San Bernardo, Chubut Province, Patagonia, Argentina.

Horizon: Formation unknown, ?Bajo Barreal.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary maxilla with 7 alveoli and tooth.
