Etymology: Derived from Texas, state of origin and Greek, cephale, "head."

Etymology: In honor of Wann Langston, for his contributions to the vertebrate paleontology of the Big bend region.

Holotype: LSUMNS 20010

Locality: WPA 1, Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas.

Horizon: Upper Aguja Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Edmontonian age, Upper Campanian Stage- Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fused frontoparietals.

Referred material:

Locality: East of the bone bed (Type locality=WPA 1) less than a kilometer away, and several tnes of meters above WPA 1), Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas.

Horizon: Upper Aguja Formation.
