Etymology: In reference to Laiyang County, were the specimen was discovered.
Note: ZHANG, WANG, CHEN, LIU & XING, 2020 place this specimen in kritosaurin gen. sp. indet.

Holotype: BMNH PH00181

Locality: West valley (locality 1), ~450 m west of the north part of Jingangkou Village, Laiyang County, Shandong (Shantung) Province, China.

Horizon: Jingangkou Formation (upper Hongtuya Formation ), Wangshi Series.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: ?Late Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: 9 coossified sacral vertebrae and ilium.
