Genus: Lamaceratops ALIFANOV, 2003
Etymology: From Lama (Buddhistic monk) and Greek, ceratops, "horned face."

Species: tereschenkoi ALIFANOV, 2003
Etymology: In honor of the paleontologist V. S. Tereschenko, who found the specimen.

Holotype: PIN 4487/26

Locality: Khulsan, Nemegt basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Djadochtatherium catopsaloides KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA, Nemegtbaatar gobiensis KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA, and Chulsanbaatar vulgairs KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA Zone.

Age: Middle –Late Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull with damaged palate and damaged left side and provided with the right ramus of the lower jaw.

Referred material:

PIN 3142/1: Skull missing the snout and some of the frill of a juvenile.
