Etymology: Greek, a- “not, without”, Greek, rhin, “nose, snout” and Greek, kerat- (keras), “horn” and Greek, ops, “face”: “Hornless-snout face”.

Etymology: Greek, brachy, "short" and Greek, ops, "face."

Holotype: ROM 796 (old ROM 5135)

Locality: Opposite of Neill's ranch and 3 miles above Bleriot Ferry, 125 feet above the Red Deer River, Wheatland County, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Horseshoe Canyon Formation, Edmonton Group.
Note: Formerly Member A of the Edmonton Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Edmontonian age, lower Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull.
Note: Paleopathology, an extra opening piercing the left squamosal.

Locality: 6 miles west of Munson, on the west side of the Red Deer River, Wheatland County, Alberta Province, Canada.

ROM 1439: Skull with lower jaws, syncervical and left forelimb elements (Scapula, humerus, radius, metacarpals, and several phalanges.

Locality: S31 T32 R21 W4, about 70 ft (21 m) aboe the Red Deer River, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Upper Morrin Member, at the level of the Drumheller Marine Tongue, Horseshoe Canyon Formation, Edmonton Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Edmontonian age, lower Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material:

CMN 8882: Partial skull of a juvenile, including dentaries with prominent lateral ridge.
