Etymology: In honor of Winston E., and Paul C. Banko. Together, thier momentous life-long efforts have significantly contributed to our understnding avian biology and conservation, particularly across the Hawaiian archipelgo. Plumadraco bankoorum, the Banko's feather dragon.

Holotype: STM 11-4

Locality: Near Xiaotaizi Village, Lamadong Town, Jianchang County, Liaoning Province, China.

Horizon: Jiufotang Formation, Jehol Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Aptian Stage, Gallic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary skull and fragmentary skeleton.

Note: With feathers on the body and wings with two extremly long tail feathers.
