Genus: Sophineta EVANS & BORSUK-BIALYNICKA, 2009
Etymology: In honor of Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska of the Instytut Paleobiologii PAN, Greek, sophia, "wisdom," is the classical root for the name Zofia.

Species: cracoviensis EVANS & BORSUK-BIALYNICKA, 2009
Etymology: From Cracovia, the Latin name for Krakow, the closest major Polish city to the Czatkowice 1 locality, and also to recognise reasearchers at the University of Krakow (Drs. Paszkowski and Wieczorek) for thier pioneering work at the locality.
