Locality: During the construction of the Rhein-Main-Donau canal near the village of Kerkhofen near Freyung in the Oberpflaz, Bavaria, Southern Germany. IT was found about 1.2 km south-southeast of Kerkhofen, approximately 300 m East of the bridge on the road between Kerkhofen and Erasbach.

Horizon: Posidonienschiefer, Schwarjura.

Biostratigraphy: Epsilon II1.
